Lyrebird Ridge Organic Winery & Retreat

What wonderful hosts Anne and Greg were to their little sanctuary. Everything was thought of, an entire booklet of suggestions and how to make the most of our stay. Anne was lovely, spending the time to show around our 2 young boys and how to play with their dogs and introducing them to the chickens, ducks and goat! We really enjoyed having that time to disconnect from the modern world and had such a relaxing time. We hope to be back again!

A beautiful place with an equally amazing host. If you’re looking for a place to getaway from the city, this is the place for you. We felt right at home, with Anne being so friendly. With the addition of two of the most friendliest and cutest dogs, this was a 10/10 stay.

Anne is an exceptional host and made me feel right at home. The cottage is private, cosy and the perfect getaway from the city with the convenience of being able to bring your own pet. Anne goes out of her way to create a warm and welcoming stay, including fresh eggs, bread and juice for breakfast, and a complimentary wine tasting. This is more than just an Airbnb on a property, it’s an experience! There is also the added bonus of having Rosie and Ruby (the Golden Retrievers) around. Beautiful dogs who you can’t help but love. Thank you Anne for an above and beyond experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lyrebird Ridge. Anne was the most wonderful host. Our boys really enjoyed their time on the property exploring, looking for wombats, yabbie catching, spot of fishing, feeding the ducks, chickens and sheep and collecting fresh eggs with Anne. Husband and I really enjoyed the delicious cheese platter and wine tasting while kids explored! The accomodation was clean, comfortable, cosy with the fireplace and had such lovely attention to detail. We also were lucky to have been able to do a vine wreath making workshop with Anne which we really enjoyed. Loved the fact it was off grid! We would love to also go back in the spring/summer when the days are longer. We also went on a couple of scenic walks around the area. Thank You Anne for such a wonderful stay!

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Anne and Greg, who are amazing hosts . Wine tasting around the outdoor firepit, roasting marshmallows, feeding the animals , fishing in the dam or walking, there was an activity to please the entire family. Sitting around the fireplace at night was also so nice and relaxing, we wish we could have stayed longer :)

My husband, our 2 yo border collie and myself had the most amazing stay at lyrebird. It was exactly what we were hoping for. Beautiful property, toasty warm fireplace fully stocked with plenty of wood, tasty homemade treats and all the kitchen essentials, clean, cosy, wide variety of books with the friendliest hosts you could ask for. We were able to walk around the property with resident Goldie Rosie as our guide, meet her 5 month old little sister and sample wines directly from the property. The red was so nice we couldn’t help but stock up with another bottle to take home to accompany the local produce we bought from the cellar. Couldn’t more highly recommend!

We had a great stay at Anne’s place. She was very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The studio space is very cosy and just what we needed for a weekend getaway. We enjoyed being off grid, playing board games by the fire in the evening. The property is great, with lots of walks and wildlife to see. I’d highly recommend booking yourself in at Anne’s cellar door to enjoy a tasting and a cheese plate whilst staying at the property also. We’d definitely visit again! Thank you for having us!

Anne place was quiet, off grid and beautiful all as described. Enjoy the fire place inside the cabin on the cold nights, but definitely pack some warm home clothes.

Our group of friends had a lovely stay at Anne’s accommodation. We were welcomed by Anne and her lovely dog Rosie on arrival and felt like we’ve arrived at a beautiful sanctuary. This is off the grid so be prepared to switch off and relax. The fire was amazing and kept us warm through the evening and doonas was thick enough too. Our dog Sophie has a beautiful time as well!

Anne is very well-organised, friendly, and helpful. It was a nice and peaceful place to escape! Her dog, Rosie, was very cute and lovely. The organic wine at her lovely cedar door is definitely worth a try.

Had a great weekend stay at Anne’s - exact as described and what we hoped for. Off the grid, quiet, beautiful surroundings, winery, wild life, ducks/chickens/sheep/dogs. We and our Children loved it and the consistently kind and thoughtful experience that Anne created for us

We had an amazing time at the Lyrebird studio. Anne and Greg are incredible hosts, always friendly and approachable. My 3 yo son absolutely loved the tours to feed the chickens and sheeps. By the way, the eggs from the farm are so delicious! The place is beautiful, peaceful, clean and perfect for a quiet weekend away from technology. I absolutely loved the local wine and "Anne's book swap". I am looking forward to staying there again in the future. Such a finding!!! Thanks x

Anne was very friendly and helpful and Rosie the dog was very cute Perfect place to stay to feel far away from the busy city life. The lack of communication with no Wi-Fi or phone reception forces you to relax, which is well needed. The organic wine is definitely worth a try. We also loved the fresh produce, the hens eggs in the morning were delish!

Beautiful little airbnb, loved the local snacks and goodies provided in the room, linen and towels were great! Only thing I would say is would have been nice to know before getting there that there was no internet, I don’t recall seeing this in the booking details Thanks Anne!!

Anne was very hospitable! We arrived late at around 6:30 PM and she was kind enough to show us the accommodation and also offer a wine tasting in the evening. Wines were really good. Morning we also had a look at the animals. If you are looking for a place to really unwind without technology, this is the place to come. Thanks Anne!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lyrebird Ridge! We were warmly welcomed by Anne and her friendly dog Rosie. Beautiful, peaceful property and homely farmhouse. There isn’t a lot to do in the area but you need not leave the property for a relaxing getaway, and anything do you need is only a short drive away. Anne had thought of everything for our stay, and had great communication both prior to, and during our stay. Thank you for having us Anne!

We’ve had a great experience staying at Lyrebird Ridge. Very peaceful and relaxing environment. Perfect to get away from the noice. Anne and Greg were very polite and professional, they gave our son the opportunity to feed chickens and sheeps which our son absolutely loved and enjoyed. We along with our newborn and caboodle had such a wonderful experience at Anne’s property. It’s an idillic place to stay especially if you’re wanting to get off the grid and be surrounded by beautiful grounds and wholesome activities. Anne was incredibly flexible with timings and allowed for us to experience her wine tastings after the scheduled time which was a lovely experience.

Beautiful, peaceful, off-the-grid location, with delicious wine and delicacies onsite. Just the perfect place to unplug and recharge the batteries, we loved it! And Anne and her family took amazing care of us, couldn’t recommend it enough!

We had such an amazing peaceful weekend at Anne’s studio with our dog. We also enjoyed the wine tasting and a cheese platter. We throughly enjoyed our stay at lyrebird. Beautiful location, great wine and 2 very cute puppies. Anne was lovely, attentive and always checking if we needed anything but also gave us our space on the property. It was nice to have no wifi/reception and the room had a nice choice of DVDs, books and games.

Our stay here exceeded our expectations, the property the hospitality and the overall humble environment was truly perfect. Beautiful starry skies and woodfired fires, an abundance of walks and sightseeing. Anne and Greg and especially Rosie and Molly(2 beautiful dogs) welcomed us, and we will definitely be back, thank you for a lovely weekend.

such a beautiful farm/vineyard, Anne and Greg were fantastic hosts, the food and wine are delicious. My only regret is that the cottage doesn't have double glazing and we got quite cold at night, despite the fireplace in the living room and hot bottles in bed. We would love to come back but maybe in spring or autumn when the nights are a bit warmer...

Absolutely beautiful, Anne and her family are so kind and really made the stay enjoyable. Lovely personal touches through the space and the location is wonderful. So nice to turn off from all the electronics and just relax. Anne was also very gracious and kind regarding our anxious French bulldog. Thank you so much for our stay. We had the best mini break we've had in years at Anne and Greg's beautiful property! I could not rate it highly enough. Anne's attention to detail on absolutely everything was amazing - from the decor in the rooms, to the incredible hospitality. Nothing was too much trouble, and both Anne & Greg were so great with our sons and took them out to feed the animals which was an absolute highlight. They've not stopped talking about "Annes House" and asking to go back since. The property is absolutely stunning, so much space to roam around, have a BBQ, sit and watch the kids play, and even managed to sneak in a wine tasting. The wine was divine, cant wait to come back & try the Chambertin in the future - we will definitely return. Thanks again for such a lovely stay - I cant recommend the Lyrebird Organic winery to anyone looking for an off grid holiday to re-connect more highly.

We had a great 2 night stay at Anne’s farm. Anne was a great host and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The cottage we stayed in was super clean, and felt like a home away from home. Anne went out of her way to take the kids around the farm and introduce them to the animals. The kids loved feeding the chicken’s and ducks and collecting the eggs, which we cooked up for dinner. We did a wine tasting and cheese platter which was great. If you are looking for a couple of days away surrounded by beautiful countryside, lovely hosts and fun for the kids this is the place.

We absolutely loved our stay at Lyrebird Organic Retreat. The accomodation was beautiful and Anne was such a welcoming host. She has added little touches that make your stay feel just that little bit more special and we couldn’t have been happier with how accomodating she was for our dogs.

We just came back from a very quiet and peaceful long weekend at Anne's. Her property was gorgeous and great for the pups to roam around. Dams to swim in, heaps of wildlife and a very tranquil spot. House was exactly as advertised and Anne was easy to work with and very helpful.

Anne's hideaway gives 'taking a break' it's true meaning. This was exactly what the doctor ordered. The cottage was the perfect stay for our family. The cellar was the perfect treat for us adults. And Anne, Greg, Rosie and Molly were the perfect hosts. This region is a gem this close to Sydney. I hope everyone gets to visit and taste. And if you do, give The Lyrebird Ridge organic winery a go. Fully recommend.

Anne is a gracious and generous host. The accommodation was clean and relaxed with plenty of things to do. The breakfast was generous, there were lots of books, games etc to access and enjoy and the farm was beautiful. Kids enjoyed feeding chooks etc. great escape from technology and a wonderful relaxing environment. Highly recommend.

What a beautiful place. Anne is such a lovely person and she takes such a wonderful care of her place. It was always such a pleasure to talk to her. The place is wonderful with everything you need, lots of animals and walks around. Nowra is only 20min away so and there is a new Budenon Art gallery just 7min away.

Anne was very friendly and it was a wonderful stay off grid and with the beach and everything close by. The property was beautiful and we loved relaxing here.

Anne was extremely friendly and hospitable. The studio was perfect, just what I needed for my stay. I especially loved the kitchen already stocked with the locally made wine, pantry items and the fresh loaf of sour dough delivered personally by Anne. Thank you Anne.

Really happy we stayed the extra night. Great to break up our trip in such a peaceful spot. Anne even opened the Cellar Door at late notice so we could have a tasting of their wines that they make on the property.

Very, very nice place to stay. The property is beautifully located away from the hustle, perfect to unwind and relax. The cottage was charming, comfortable and spotless. It provided everything you need including many books to read while there. Anne was a wonderful host, she went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return someday.

Lovely hidden spot away from hustle and bustle. Charming treescapes and cottage feel. The cellar door and optional cheese platters is a great aspect to enjoy during your stay. Do your shopping before coming as it’s a little out of town mind you.

Lovely studio, easy check-in, but the gem was the secluded location, my family and I enjoyed our stay and would be happy to come back anytime. Also, you have to try Anne's wines, the Cabernet was 10/10!
